What's new for 2025?
There are almost no changes for 2025. The V-8 engine option has been discontinued but the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is less expensive than it was in the previous model year. The Grand Cherokee L does continue to offer a solid collection of standard features and it still has a smooth ride, especially with the available air suspension system. We invite you to submit our totally secure online financing application to get pre-approved in advance.
Performance
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L comes with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. With the elimination of the V8 engine, the 3.6-liter Pentastar® naturally aspirated V-6 engine is the only available powertrain, producing 293 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and four-wheel drive is an available upgrade. The Grand Cherokee L also offers an available Quadra-Drive® II active on-demand 4×4 system, Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System, and Quadra-Lift® Suspension System.
The maximum towing capacity is rated at 6,000 pounds and the time from zero to 60 mph is estimated at 7.7 seconds. The EPA projects that the Grand Cherokee L with the six-cylinder engine gets up to 19 in the city and a maximum of 26 MPG on the highway.
